Tsolmongerel is 34 years old and lives with her husband and two children in a house in the Zavkhan province of Mongolia. Her oldest daughter attends a local secondary school while her husband helps Tsolmongerel with her business. She operates a vegetable trading business where she sells her own home-grown vegetables to dealers in the local markets. She started her business in 2000 and planted many different kinds of vegetables. During the past nine years she has not only gained agricultural experience and knowledge, but also business experience and knowledge. One day, she would like to buy another hectare of land so that she can grow even more produce and experiment with new kinds of vegetables. Tsolmongerel is requesting a 1,400,000 tugrug (~980 USD) loan to help her to purchase agricultural materials so that she can grow her customer base this winter.
