Hope Group

Hope is a group of 5 borrowers led by Marie Freeman, 51 years old, a widow with 5 children aged 21-31 years. Their educational levels are 12th grade-University graduates. She also cares for 2 orphans and 4 siblings.

Marie lives and works in the New Matadi community south of the capital, Monrovia, Liberia. Marie's business is buying charcoal and fufu (local Liberian food) wholesale from rural Liberia and selling it to the residents of New Matadi, Monrovia, Liberia. She has been running this business for 19 years and is grateful to the business for funding her children's education throughout these years.

Marie started by selling prepared food but later decided to get involves in out-of-town business. She also sells good products to her customers to retain them as customers. Marie is hoping to establish a store in future. And she dreams of her and her children being successful in the future.

Marie needs this loan in order to purchase more goods that can cover her customers' needs.
