Marina Máxima Apaza is president of the Primero de Julio Group, which belongs to the Collpani community center. She leads the meetings, and everyone makes their internal rules. All of the members have diverse economic activities like selling vegetables, tending a neighborhood store, selling dried food, sweets, meat, chickens, and selling balanced food.

One clear example is Carmen Machaca. She is 42 and has five children. She sells animal food in the 16 de Julio fair. She has worked with Pro Mujer for approximately one and a half years. During this time she has been able to get ahead in her business. With her first loan she bought merchandise and a cart to transport her merchandise.

She now needs a loan to buy more merchandise like bran, corn mash, and yellow flour.

All of them need the loan to buy merchandise and raw material.
