God Bless You Group

Martha Jonuah is the leader of a group of 4 borrowers called 'God bless You'. She is 67 years old, a widow with 4 children aged 24-35 years old. Their educational levels are 12th grade- university graduate. She also cares for 5 siblings.Martha is illiterate due to poverty. She lives and works in the slip way, close to downtown Monrovia, Liberia.


Martha's business is buying fish wholesale from fishermen around the coast of Monrovia, Liberia and selling them to residents of downtown Monrovia, Liberia. She has been running this business for more than 20 years, and this business allowed her to educate her children.

Martha started this business with a little fund given her by her late husband, and with hardwork and serious attention, she has reached this far. Martha always sell good fish to her customers in order to retain them. She needs this loan to purchase more goods to expand her business.

Martha dreams of growing her fish business to a higher standard so that she and her childrem can become successful in life.
