Tegsh-Amgalan is a 27-year-old single man who lives in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent, in Arkhangai province of Mongolia. He operates a shoe repair business in a rented office near one of the town markets. Tegsh-Amgalan got started in the shoe repair business with his friend in 2007 and they were so successful that he was able to open his own shop in 2009. He started with a working capital of 80,000 tugrug (~56 USD) and quickly increased it to 300,000 tugrug (~210 USD). In the near future, Tegsh-Amgalan wants to own his own work space instead of renting. For now he is requesting a 600,000 (~420 USD) loan to purchase more supplies and materials.
