Mrs. Oeun Srey, age 44 (available in the photo with her husband) and her husband, Mr. Koem Khoem, 43, were married in 1987 and have four daughters. The eldest daughter was married and lives in the family home. One is a garment factory worker and other two attend school. The family lives along national road number one apporximetely15 kilometers from Phnom Penh City.
Oeun and her husband have been farming for about 20 years. They grow papaya, corn…etc. One of Oeun’s daughters just finished her baccalaureate degree and she wants to continue her studying at University in Phnom Penh, so Oeun is asking for her first loan of $1,200 to pay school fees for her daughter and she will use a part of her loan to farm as well.
