América is 33 years old; she is a very dedicated and hard working mother. She rents a house with her husband Carlos, age 34, and their two children: 11-year old Renato and 9-year old Anthony. América hopes to provide them with a better quality of life. She sells propane cylinders from her home, distributing the cylinders by phone request to her customers, who use them mostly for cooking.

Business is good and she is earning enough income to support her family. What América likes the most about her work is that it allows her to do house work and have a small business at the same time. She has had this business for a year and although it is dangerous, due to the possibility that a cylinder could explode, she will continue it because it is a good source of income.

In the future América hopes to have a grocery store, which would generate even better income. This is her sixth loan with MFP and she doesn't expect to miss any of her repayments. In her community bank she is a very committed and supportive member. The 9,000 PEN she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of gas cylinders to improve her business.
