Margarita was making a living selling breakfast in the mornings from the house in which she used to live, but she stopped when she moved to the Pamplona district. There she realized that business was done differently. She took a knitting course where she learned to make purses. With the advice of her mother, who also knits, she started make purses and selling them to her neighbors. Now that she’s in the communal bank she knits five purses per week.
At FINCA Peru, she has learned to manage and invest the loan she receives. Margarita is requesting a loan of 1200 PEN to buy materials for knitting purses and colored thread to decorate the purses. Her dream is to have a stand in the market to sell her purses and other goods.
