Akua

Akua is forty – five years old. She is widowed and has give birth to three children, all in school. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a town called Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Wiawso is a commercial and farming town. Akua is a food vendor. She cooks and sells porridge. She sells on a table top by a road side in her community. She also sells on a local school compound. She buys bags of maize, beans and other ingredients from nearby towns. Akua has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk to expand her business.
