When he graduated he started a workshop that repairs radios, televisions, DVDs and video decks. He hired a cheap kiosk in Wandegeya, which is a Kampala suburb.The government of Uganda is preparing to host the Commonwealth Heads of State (CHOGM) in November, which has made the government clean the city. It came up with a plan of demolishing all the illegal structures in Kampala City.
Benson wants a loan to rent a better place to re-locate his business. He also want to renovate it so that he offers mechanical services but also sells new and reconditioned radios, televisions, DVDs and video decks.
He wants a loan of US $ 1200 to pay for rent in the new location which he plans to pay back in 6 months.
