Jelisa Buklatin

Jelisa owns and manages a tailoring shop where she makes dresses for various people. Adjacent to her tailoring shop is a plastic wares store which she opened recently. Both businesses are situated inside the Silang Public Market. She earns close to P 15,000 net income per month from the combined operation of these businesses.

She became a member of the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) Credit Cooperative in 2006, the same year she established her plastic wares store. She enjoys a lot of benefits from the cooperative. Her businesses grew dramatically. From her profits, she was able to purchase a plot of land and her future project is to build her own house on it. She was also able to purchase an additional sewing machine.

Jelisa is asking for a loan in the amount of P22,000 for the expansion of her tailoring shop. She’s now geared toward saving more to be able to build her own house soon.
