Passy Nambalirwa's Group

Nambalirwa Passy is the leader of her lending group in Mukono. She is 30 years old and married with 3 children with the eldest being 13 and in Primary seven. She is a strong business lady and a tailor for 4 years. At the moment, out of the clothes she makes, she is able to make 50,000/= as weekly profits and would like this to increase in future. She will be able to expand her business by including the sale of clothing materials and already made clothes so as to increase revenue by expanding her business. Passy also hopes to buy a plot of land where she will construct rental houses. She needs a loan to help buy more clothes for sewing as well as to complete the payment of her children’s school fees.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
