Alex Kimani, a 37-year-old father of one child, is married to Lily Njeri, who is a house wife. The family lives in Kongowea, Mombasa. For eight years Alex has run a leather work shop in Kongowea, a location that has enabled him gain many customers due to the busy Kongowea market.
He learned of KADET during a marketing exercise and he is now accessing his first loan, which he plans to invest by purchasing shoe-making materials, thus diversifying his business. His future hopes are to expand his business and become a major supplier of shoes and leather materials.
