Tuyasaihan is a 37 year old, single mother who lives with her 2 children and mother in their own ger in the Arkhangai province of Mongolia. Her two children both attend high school while her mother stays at home during the day. Tuyasaihan believes that education is the most important factor to having a happy life and she wants her children to have the best education that she can provide for them. She has been a cook for many years and, because of this, she decided to run a cafe in 2008 by renting a work place. At first, her working capital was 500 000 tugrug (~350 USD) but has now grown to over 1 200 000 tugrug (~840 USD). Her wish is to one day have her own cafe. Tuyasaihan is requesting a 1 500 000 tugrug (~1050USD) loan to buy materials, tools and ingredients so that she can expand her cafe's menu.
