Malanga Group

Malanga is a group of 5 borrowers led by Robert F. Kollie, who is 34 years old, married with 2 children. His children are aged 2 and 4 years and their educational levels are kindergarten and 1st grade.

Robert is also a university graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He feels that his education shouldn’t be forgotten and believes that with his level of education he can make the business a better one.

Robert lives and works on Johnson Street in downtown Monrovia, Liberia, which is a community of poor people that depend on the government to take care of them.

Robert’s business is building materials. He purchases them wholesale and sells retail to the residents of downtown Monrovia, Liberia. He has been running this business for over 6 years. He started this business with a small amount but is doing fine in business.

Robert attracts his customer because he knows how to talk to them and is sited at a strategic point so that if anyone comes to buy he will be the first vendor to be seen.

Robert needs this loan to purchase more building materials to sell for a profit. Robert hopes to expand his business to owning a building materials store and become successful. And he dreams of seeing his children having a good education and being in good health also.
