The Bolokolognite group is made up of five women, who are all married and on average are 35 years old, have 3 children and live in polygamous families in Mancourani 1, one of the neighborhoods of the city of Sikasso in the third administrative region of the republic of Mali.
They are working with the Soro Yiriwaso micro finance institution in order to satisfy the needs of their customers. This is their fourth group loan. All three previous loans were repaid without difficulties.
They buy and sell medicines, children's clothing, wood coal, cosmetics, cups, etc.
With their new loan, they plan to purchase 5 packages of medicine, 4 dozen children's outfits, 70 sacks of wood coal, 2 cartons of cosmetics, and 3 dozen plastic cups.
They get their supplies in the Sikasso marketplace and in the neighboring villages. They sell in the city of Sikasso in the various markets and in the neighborhoods in a traveling manner. They sell for cash or often on credit to a clientele composed of men and women.
They each envision making a monthly profit of 30,500 CFA francs, of which a portion will be used for savings and family needs, and the other portion will be invested in their activities.
Some of them plan to purchase a plot of land to live on in Sikasso and others plan to open a store.
