Twelve Apostles Group

Felicia is 33 years old and is married with three kids who are all in school. She lives with her family in a small village in the Western Region of Ghana.

Felicia owns and operates a beauty salon in her neighborhood. She is a very skillful and talented hairdresser and has been in business for seven years now. She believes in efficiency and effectiveness of service. Therefore, she wants to use the loan to buy larger quantities of hair products like weavons (hair extensions), pomade, shampoo, activators, etc., to serve her customers.

Felicia is the leader of a trust bank group called “Twelve Apostles”. She is the one seated in the group photograph. Most of the members of these groups are petty traders, food vendors and farmers, etc.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee. Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. Learn more
