Senior, as she is called, is 52 years-old and married with six children. All her children are in school in the community development school. Senior is a petty trader and sells items such as cooking oil, yams, plantains, spices, pepper, onions, smoked and dried fish, tinned tomatoes and bags of rice. These products sell very fast and she easily recovers her capital in order to buy new stock. Senior takes delivery of goods from the capital city of Kumasi.
With her six years experience in her business she now wants to add other food items which are frequently demanded by her customers such as maize and eggs. She believes that this can be possible with the help of this loan and she plans to use the loan to buy bags of raw materials. She is also convinced that the loan will help increase her stock in the event of a price hike.
