Maria Elena represents the Virgen del Socavón group, which is comprised of 12 members who are in their second loan cycle with the Institution. They demonstrate the desire to work, and they are responsible in their payments. Most of the members sell food, soft drinks, make ice cream, and sell dairy products. Regarding the competition that they have in the market, most of them have years of working in this field, experience, and regular customers. The loan is to acquire new machines like chicken fryers and automatic potato cutters to improve their work environment. They will also buy merchandise and supplies that will help them get greater earnings. Many of their members are the head of their families, and they support their households.

In general, the members have experience in solidarity groups, thanks to a previous loan with the Agrocapital Foundation. The Foundation is always willing to support groups when they have the desire to get ahead.
