Mariposas Group

The “Mariposas” (“Butterflies”) group is represented by Carmen. Its 12 members have shown integrity and the desire to get ahead. The women have a variety of businesses. For example, Cristina hand-embroiders sandals in an array of styles and colors. Maria Luisa has sold pastries at high schools and in the local market for 25 years. The rest of the members of the group sell products such as bread, food, cosmetics, and hand-woven fabrics. As the local market is very competitive, the members provide home delivery or work in markets that are far away.

This loan will be used as working capital to purchase merchandise, supplies, and tools to provide quality products in greater quantity. The group is in its third loan cycle and its members have demonstrated the desire to work hard and get ahead in order to provide their families a better life and their children a better education.

El grupo “Mariposas” esta representado por la señora Carmen y conformado por 12 miembros las cuales han demostrado honradez y ganas de salir adelante. Las señoras se dedican a diferentes actividades como por ejemplo Cristina hace bordados en sandalias ella lo realiza a mano en diversos colores y modelos, Maria Luisa trabaja hace 25 años con repostería como cubanitos dejando a los colegios y mercado, El resto de las socias se dedican a la venta de productos como pan, comida, cosméticos y a la elaboración de tejidos a mano, como la competencia es alta en el mercado las socias realizan entregas a domicilio o en mercados alejados. El destino del crédito es para el incremento de capital para la compra de mercaderías, insumos y herramientas para realizar un trabajo de calidad y en mayor cantidad. En cuanto a los antecedente crediticios las socias van cursando su tercer ciclo demostrando ganas de trabaja y salir adelante para poder darles a su familia una mejor vida y a sus hijos una mejor educación.
