The washer was repaired! Entrepreneur: Rosita Nistal Location: El Tejar Chimaltenango, Guatemala Rosita's business is going great guns. She got the washer repaired with her loan. Right now she is almost out of the used clothes she sells. Her type of business is called "Ropa Americana" here, selling second-hand clothing imported from the U.S. There's plenty of demand for it and it goes cheap. She expects to receive a huge bale of clothing this weekend, about 1000 pounds. When it comes she'll hang it all up in the large garage-type space next to her house and start selling it. It only takes her about 8 days to sell out of a whole load like that! Rosita has been sick with a cold for the last week or so, so the business was closed today, but she should be OK before long. The picture shows Rosita with her repaired washer, running away with a load of clothing.
