Veronica Gallano

Mrs. Veronica Gallano's mission in life is to be a loving, responsible and dedicated mother who aims to help her husband and family out of poverty. She lives in the village of Brgy. Mabini, Valladolid, Negros Occidental, with her loving husband, Mr. Judy Gallano, who is a farmer and also an elected Brgy. Councilor in their village. Veronica is now 47 years old and her two sons are 18 and 20 years old. Her oldest son is gainfully employed while the younger is presently attending college.

Veronica is a successful entrepreneur who is always looking for good investing opportunities that will earn additional income. In her efforts to earn more income for her family, Veronica Gallano operates a general store and a cafeteria in their community, and also has a one-hectare rice field which is being farmed by her husband. Their combined business opportunities earn them a monthly income of approximately $215, which helps pay for the support of the family, her son's tuition, her weekly loan repayment and some savings for the future.

In the four years that she has been a member of NWTF-Project Dungganon, she has been able to maintain a good credit record by paying her installments on time, and to fully repay the loan within the promised period of time. Her previous loan of PHP 19,500 was applied to her business and she paid it all on time without any delinquency. For her 9th loan cycle, she is again borrowing PHP 19,500 so that she can stock her general store with more goods to resell to her customers. She plans to use the profits from this venture to support the needs of her family.
