Las Novatas (cuenca) Group

The Las Novatas Communal Bank is located in the city of Cuenca. It is a very beautiful city, being the cultural heritage of humanity. It is the third most important city in Ecuador. Its climate is cold, but the heart of our people is very warm. They are kind and hospitable people with their own and with strangers.

This bank is make up of seven members who are very good friends. They have known each other for years, and they have united to form a communal bank, look for self improvement, and have a more decent life for themselves and their families. The members live in different central parts of the city of Cuenca. Following are their statements.

María Isabel Quinde is a member of the Las Novatas Communal Bank. She lives in the urban region of the city of Cuenca. María Isabel is 40; and she has four children, 22, 21, 16, and 8. Her first child is married and lives independently with his family. Her second child studies at CEDEC, and he works for his personal expenses. The other two children are in elementary and high school. María Isabel’s husband emigrated to the exterior, and he sends them money to pay some of the household expenses. They do not have their own house; they rent.

María Isabel raises chickens. She has been doing this for two years, and it is going very well. She tells us that with her business she pays debts. With the small earnings that she gets, she increases her business to make it more productive.

This is her third cycle working with her communal bank. She is very grateful for all of the benefits she has.

With the loan received she will buy more chicks, food, and vitamins for her chickens, and increase her business.

María Isabel’s dream is to have her own house to give her children tranquility.

Rosa María Mogrovejo Peralta is one of the happiest members of the Novatas Communal Bank. She lives in the urban region of the city of Cuenca. She is 39, married, and has six children. They are 25, 22, 20, 18, 15, and 13. Her first two children are married and have their own families. The four youngest children go to school and work for their expenses. Her husband emigrated to the exterior. Due to the world crisis, he sends them money only when he can. She does not have her own house; she rents.

Rosa raises chickens. She has had the business for three years, and it is going very well because she has orders from fixed customers. When she has time, she works in her son’s upholstery shop.

This is her third cycle with the Fundación Espor. She is very proud of the improvement she has made thanks to the loans she received. With the loan from the Foundation she will buy food for the chickens because she wants to expand the business.

Her dream is to have a business selling wood and to expand her chicken business to give her children a better future.

Lourdes de la Nube Zhispun Peralta is a member of the Novatas Communal Bank. She lives in the Medio Ejido area, an urban region of the city of Cuenca. She is happily married, 29, and she has four children. She is three months pregnant with her fifth child. She tells us that this pregnancy is giving her some complications, and she has to spend more time resting. She lives in a rented house. Her husband works in an upholstery shop. They are a stable family.

Lourdes works in her own beauty station. She knows a lot about cuts and styles that are in fashion because she has worked in this area of beauty for 14 years. She has 12 years of experience. She has her own customers. She has worked in her own business for seven months because she bought the place.

This is her third loan with the Foundation. She is very happy because the money the Foundation loans her pays for the installments on her place. She also gets more beauty products to put in her showcase.

Her goal is to expand her beauty location and open other branches.

El Banco Comunal Las Novatas está ubicado en la ciudad de Cuenca, es una ciudad muy hermosa siendo patrimonio cultural de la humanidad y, la tercera ciudad más importante de Ecuador, su clima es frio pero el corazón de nuestra gente es muy cálido pues son personas muy amables y hospitalarias con propios y extraños.

Este banco está integrado por siete socias que son muy buenas amigas y conocidas de hace muchos años que se han unido para formar su banco comunal y buscar la superación personal y tener una vida más digna para ellas y sus familias, las socias viven en diferentes partes céntricas de la ciudad de Cuenca; a continuación testimonios de la socias.

La señora María Isabel Quinde es socia del banco comunal Las Novatas, vive dentro de la zona urbana de la ciudad de Cuenca; María Isabel tiene 40 años de edad y ha concebido 4 hijos de 22, 21, 16, 8 años de edad, su primer hijo es casado y vive independientemente con su familia, su segundo hijo estudia en el CEDEC y trabaja para sus gastos personales, sus otros dos hijos aun están en primaria y secundaria. El esposo de María Isabel emigro al exterior y les envía dinero para solventar en algo los gastos de la casa, no tienen casa propia y viven arrendando.

María Isabel se dedica a la crianza de pollos, lleva trabajando 2 años en esta actividad y le va muy bien, nos cuenta que con su negocio paga las deudas y con las pocas ganancias que obtiene incrementa su negocio para así hacerle más fructífero.

Este es su tercer ciclo trabajando junto a su banco comunal y le agrada mucho todos los beneficios que obtiene.

Con el préstamo obtenido va a comprar más crías, comida y vitaminas para sus pollos e ir incrementando su negocio.

El sueño de María Isabel es tener su casa propia para darles tranquilidad a sus hijos.

La señora Rosa María Mogrovejo Peralta es una de las socias más alegres del banco Comunal las Novatas, Rosa vive en la zona urbana de la ciudad de Cuenca, tiene 39 años de edad, está casada y fruto de su amor procreo 6 hijos de 25, 22, 20, 18, 15, 13 años de edad, sus dos primeros hijos están casados y formaron su propia familia; sus 4 hijos menores estudian y trabajan para sus gastos; su esposo emigro al exterior y debido a la crisis mundial que existe les envía dinero solo cuando puede, no tiene casa propia por lo que vive arrendando.

Rosa se dedica a la crianza de pollos lleva tres años en el negocio y le va muy bien porque tiene entregas a clientes fijos y cuando tiene tiempo trabaja en el taller de tapicería de su hijo.

Es su tercer ciclo junto a la Fundación Espoir, está muy orgullosa de la superación que ha obtenido gracias a los créditos obtenidos. Con el préstamo que la fundación le entrega lo va ha invertir en la compra y alimento de pollos por que desea ampliar su negocio.

Su sueño es tener un negocio de venta de madera y ampliar su negocio de pollos para darles un futuro mejor a sus hijos.
La señora Lourdes de la Nube Zhispun Peralta es socia del Bankito Comunal las Novatas, ella vive en el sector de Medio Ejido una zona urbana de la Ciudad de Cuenca, se encuentra felizmente casada, tiene 29 años de edad y 4, y se encuentra embarazada de tres meses de su quinto hijo, nos cuenta que este embarazo le está dando un poco de complicaciones por lo que tiene que estar un mayor tiempo en repos; vive arrendando, su esposo trabaja en una tapicería y forman una familia estable.

Lourdes trabaja en un gabinete de belleza de su propiedad, es muy conocedora de los cortes y peinados que se encuentran a la moda, por que trabaja en esta rama de la belleza desde que tenía 14 años de edad, ya son 12 años de experiencia, tiene su propia clientela, trabaja en su negocio propio hace 7 meses por que se compro el local.

Este es su tercer crédito en la fundación y se encuentra muy contenta porque con el dinero que la fundación le presta paga las letras de su local y adquiere más productos para llenar su vitrina con productos de belleza.

Su meta es de ampliar su local de belleza y abrir otras sucursales.
