Leili is an enterprising 37-year old who works selling articles of clothing, groceries and shoes. She offers these products at different markets, extends credit and then collects on a daily basis. Her nephew works with her and is in charge of the collecting.

Leili has been a member of the community bank “Las Flores” for the past 5 years and she’s known for always paying her loans back on time. Her first loan was for 300 soles. She invested it in articles such as soap, laundry detergent, cheese and yogurt.

With this loan of 2500 soles, she will purchase another motor bike since she needs it for the collecting from her customers. Her aim is to have her own stall where she can sell her products and continue supporting her family.
