The group “Horizonte” (Horizon) consists of 12 cheerful and hardworking people. They have been friends for a long time and their ages range from 19 to 63. Rulifelfi, who serves as the group president, has two small children who attend elementary school. Just like her peers, she has her own business, which happens to be selling raw chickens in her neighborhood. The other members of the group have retail businesses selling clothing for adults, lingerie, groceries, and prepared foods. Some of them sell from fixed locations while other sell door-to-door. Even though they have competitors, these women have loyal customers who constantly buy their products. Whenever they face difficulties, they diversify their businesses in order to generate income. Some of the members work part-time jobs with a fixed salary, such as housekeeping, while they manage their businesses the remainder of the time. Other members want to take advantage of special offers on cosmetics purchased by catalog so that they can increase their inventories, generate more income, and provide their families with a better quality of life.

The group is starting its third loan cycle. Each member has demonstrated responsibility, honesty, and a desire to succeed. Most of all, they possess unity, which is essential for working in a solidarity group.
