Daakyi Nti Group

Kwadwo is fifty-five years old. He is married and has eight children, all of whom are in school. He works hard to provide for his family. Kwadwo is the leader of a trust bank group called "Daakyi Nti," which means "for the future." In the photograph, the group leader, Kwadwo, is standing.

The members of the group are engaged in commercial activities such as food vending, clothes selling, etc. Some of them hawk (go door-to-door) to sell their products while others trek to nearby communities to sell on their market days. They buy the goods in Kumasi and nearby towns. The experience that some of these traders have amassed over the years has given them the urge to expand their businesses. Thus, they need a loan to buy goods in bulk to realize this dream.
