Juliet Tushemeirwe, the leader of her lending group in Bushenyi, is a 38-year-old lady who puts a great deal of determination and hard work into all of her business and general endeavors. She is a business lady with a hotel in Kitwe town along Mbarara-Bushenyi Road that has been running for six years. Juliet says that before she started preparing meals, she had only prepared tea and a few snacks, but with the help of loans, she was able to buy saucepans, forks, spoons and plates in addition to various foodstuffs that enabled her to expand her offerings. She is now able to make a net profit of 35,000 per week which enables her to save for her children’s education, food, health and clothing.

Juliet is a mother of three children, a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old, both secondary school students, and a 13-month-old. She dreams of owning a bigger hotel in town so that she can increase her customer base, and she is requesting a loan to help purchase more foodstuffs for resale in a boiled form in order to meet her customers' needs.
