Mary Jane Norbe

Mrs. Mary Jane Norbe is 42 years old, married with six children and a resident of Brgy, Tagda, in Hinigaran Negros Occidental. Mary Jane is a fish vendor, a suitable trade as she lives near the sea and has easy access to the local fisher folk's catch. Working in partnership with her husband, Cenon, she is determined to raise her six children well and provide all of them with a good future.

In 1998 she joined NWTF—Project Dungganon to have access to additional capital for her fish-vending business. She later used her loans and savings to build her own fishing boat, and the resulting profits from this move come to approximately PHP 10,000 per month, just enough to support the needs of her family. She now plans to use the PHP 19,000 loan from NWTF—Project Dungganon, her thirteenth consecutive loan from this MFI, as revolving working capital for her fish-vending business.
