La Inmaculada (cuenca) Group

The communal bank "La Inmaculada" is located in a beautiful place in Cañar province in the ruins of Inga Pirca, which is a city made of stone that the Inca built as their fortress. There is also a stone face carved in a mountain by the Inca. It is a beautiful place that is always visited by local and international tourists. Our members are happy to have inherited the culture and traditions of the Inca, and they carry the honor and the pride of Inga Pirca in their daily lives.

The communal bank "La Inmaculada" is formed by a group of 10 men and women, who are all ready to overcome and move forward little by little. We have some of their stories here.

Esther Yolanda Loja Pugo is a member of the bank She lives in Inga Pirca, and is 22 years old. She has lived with a partner for one year. She has three children who are 6, 4, and 1 year old. Her first son is in the community school. They do not have their own home; they live in a house that a family member is lending them for a while. Her husband is a chauffeur, and supports her in everything. She says he is a pillar in her life.

Esther works as a domestic employee in the city center, and in the little time that she has at home, she raises chickens and guinea pigs.

This is her first loan, and she is interested in the benefits she can receive as a member of the Espoir Foundation. With this loan she is going to start a chicken coop, so that she can stop working for other people and dedicate herself to her children and her business. Her dream is to have her own home.

Mariana de Jesús Vera lives in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood in the Santa Ana parish, 40 minutes outside of Cuenca. She is 43 years old, and is the single mother of 5 children who are 22, 19, 14, 6, 3 months. The first two are not recognized by their father and have their own home. The younger three are recognized by their father, but he does not help them with anything. Her 14-year-old son often takes care of the house until Mariana comes home from work. They live in their own adobe house, which is an advantage.

Mariana works as a domestic employee in the center of the city. She also raises chickens and guinea pigs, which she feeds before and after work.

This is her first loan. She learned about the benefits and opportunities of the Espoir Foundation thanks to a friend who invited her to be part of the communal bank. With the loan, she will get a chicken hatchery so she can have her own business and improve the quality of life of her family, to help them move forward like she has been doing.

Her dream is to have a brick house, so they can live comfortably without worrying about the winter, and give her children a better life.

Martha Adriana Loja is another member of the bank. She lives in Inga Pirca, in a beautiful place in the Cañar area. She is 21 years old, and lives with her partner of five years, and they get along very well. She has two children, who are 3 and 1 and a half. Her husband works in construction, and they have their own home.

Martha is a domestic employee from Monday to Friday. On weekends she works on her business. She raises pigs, chickens, and guinea pigs, although her guinea pigs recently died. Now she is trying to recover from that loss. She also slaughtered a pig from her farm, and she sold the raw meat by the pound. She says that sales are good.

This is her first loan, and she feels happy to have entered this little bank, because she knows the benefits that the foundation offers, and the members are friends in the community and are ready to overcome.

This loan will be invested in pigs for her farm.

Her goal is to have a store, because there are few in her community, and to be able to only run her business so she can have more time to care for her children.

El Banco Comunal La Inmaculada se encuentra en un lugar muy hermoso de la provincia del Cañar, se trata de las ruinas arqueológicas de Inga pirca, es una ciudad de piedra que nuestros Incas construyeron formando allí su fortaleza, también tienen labrado la cara de un inca en la montaña es un lugar muy hermoso que es visitado todo el tiempo por turistas nacionales y extranjeros, nuestras socias se encuentran muy contentas por haber heredado su cultura, tradiciones y por la importancia de llevar en sus vidas cotidianas todo el honor y el orgullo que Inga Pirca representa.

El Banco Comunal La Inmaculada está formado por un grupo de 10 integrantes hombres y mujeres dispuestas a superarse y surgir poco a poco hacia delante, aquí algunos testimonios.

La Sra. Esther Yolanda Loja Pugo, es socia del Banco Comunal La Inmaculada, vive en Inga Pirca perteneciente a la provincia del Cañar, tiene 22 años de edad, y vive en unión libre con su pareja hace un año, tiene 3 hijos: de 6, 4, 1,5 de edad, su primer hijo se encuentra en la escuela de la comunidad, no tienen casa propia, viven en la casa de un familiar que les presta por un tiempo, su esposo trabaja como chofer y le apoya en todo, siendo el pilar en su vida, dice.

Esther trabaja como empleada domestica en el centro de la ciudad, y en el poco tiempo que tiene en su casa a la crianza de pollos y cuyes,

Este es su primer crédito y le interesa los beneficios que obtiene siendo socia de la Fundación Espoir; con el préstamo que esta realizando va ha iniciar su galpón de pollos, para así dejar de trabajar para otras personas y dedicarse solamente a sus hijos y negocio, su sueño es llegar a tener su casa propia.

La Sra. Mariana de Jesús Vera es socia del Banco Comunal La Inmaculada, vive en el barrio Santa Bárbara en la parroquia Santa Ana a unos 40 minutos fuera de la ciudad de Cuenca, tiene 43 años de edad, es madre soltera y tiene 5 hijos, de: 22, 19, 14, 6, y 3 meses de edad, sus dos primeros hijos no son reconocidos por su padre y ya tienen propio hogar, sus otros tres hijos son reconocidos pero su padre pero no les ayuda en nada; su hijo de 14 años es quien muchas veces se encarga de la casa hasta que Mariana llegue del trabajo, viven en una casa propia de adobe, es una ventaja acota.

Mariana trabaja como empleada domestica en el centro de la ciudad, también se dedica a la crianza de pollos y cuyes, los alimenta antes de ir y regresar del trabajo

Es su primer crédito y, se entero de los beneficios y oportunidades de la Fundación ESPOIR gracias a una amiga que le invito a ser parte del banco comunal. Con el dinero del crédito solicitado va a poner un criadero de pollos para tener un negocio propio y así ir mejorando su calidad de vida y sacar a su familia adelante como lo ha hecho hasta ahora

Su sueño es de llegar a tener una casa de ladrillo para vivir cómodamente sin preocuparse del invierno, darles una mejor calidad de vida a sus hijos.

La Sra. Martha Adriana Loja es otra socia del banco comunal La Inmaculada, vive en Inga Pirca en un lugar muy hermoso de las tierras Cañarenses, tiene 21 años de edad, vive en unión libre y fruto de su amor procreo 2 hijos de 3 y 1,5 años de edad, tienen una relación consolidada de 5 años y se llevan muy bien, su esposo trabaja en la construcción y viven en casa propia.

Martha trabaja como empleada domestica de lunes a viernes, y los fines de semana se dedica a su negocio, tiene un criadero de cerdos, pollos y cuyes, aunque estos últimos se le murieron y ahora está tratando de recuperarse de esa pérdida, también sacrifica un cerdo sea de su criadero o comprado y con ello elabora ornado o vende la carne cruda por libras, nos dice que la va muy bien en la venta!!.

Este es su primer crédito y se siente muy contenta de haber ingresado al banquito porque sabe que tiene buenos beneficios que la fundación ofrece y por las socias que son muy amigas en la comunidad y están dispuestas a superarse

El préstamo que está realizando lo va a invertir en la compra de cerdos para su criadero.

Su meta es llegar a tener una tienda porque son muy escasas en la comunidad y dedicarse solo a sus negocios y así tener más tiempo para cuidar de sus hijos.
