Kory Chuyma Group

Norma Ucharico is the current president of the group 'Kory Chuyma'. The group's members have been meeting regularly once every two weeks for the past 8 years.
All women in the group own their own business: some sell fruits and food; others make and sell clothes. They request the loan to buy raw materials like fabric, lining and wool, and the ones that sell goods need the loan to buy their merchandise. 51-year-old Genoveva de Ucharico, for example, sells fruits in the streets of El Alto; she doesn't have her own shop, so she walks around street fairs and markets offering her products.

Norma Ucharico es la actual presidenta del grupo “Kory Chuyma”, se reúnen cada dos semanas y les gusta participar de las capacitaciones, están juntas hace aproximadamente 8 años. Todas tienen sus propios negocios como la venta de frutas, pito, comida, otras en su mayoría, se dedican a la confección de chamarras y deportivos. Aseguran que necesitan el préstamo para comprar materia prima como la tela, forro y lana y las que comercializan productos necesitan el crédito para comprar mercadería. Solo como ejemplo Genoveva de Ucharico de 51 años vende frutas en la ciudad de El Alto, ella es ambulante, es decir, no tiene un lugar donde vender sus frutas, lo que hace es recorrer a píe ferias y zonas ofreciendo su producto.
