Talapsu Group

This is Masiray Kargbo, Warrah A.T. Dumbuya, Adama Conteh and Iye Sesay. They called their group Talapsu. This is the first loan they are receiving from SMT, a partner of Shine on Sierra Leone. They’re requesting a loan of Le 500,000 to enable them expand their businesses. This will helped them a lot. They will able to make a lot of profit from the loan, thus able to solve much of their household problems.

Masiray is the leader of this group. Masiray was born in Waterloo, twenty miles from Freetown. She is twenty-four years of age, married with two children. One of her children is in Junior Secondary School I and the other is in nursery I. Masiray sells cottons, she will use this loan to buy bales of cotton. A bale of cotton costs Le 40,000.00. Presently, Masiray is trading with ten bales of cottons, but with the loan, she will be able to get least eleven more bales of cottons. Masiray has been a businesswoman for ten years now.
