Maritza recieved a loan of 800 Soles from Kiva that she invested in the purchase of more fish to maintain her business processing and selling seafood.

She tells us that all economic activity relating to seafood in her district has been affected by a fish shortage and resulting in an increase in prices. But, thanks to the credit she received she has been able to maintain her business during this difficult time of year.

Maritza is very grateful for the support of the Kiva Lenders. If it had not been for her loan, her business would have passed through serious difficulties. Luckily, she has been able to contine working normally although she hopes that this season ends and that things go back to normal soon.

Maritza había solicitado un crédito de 800 nuevos soles que pensaba invertir en la compra de más pescado para el mantenimiento de su negocio de venta de pescado procesado.

Ella nos comenta que actualmente todas las actividades económicas de su distrito relacionadas con la pesca se han visto afectadas por la escasez del pescado y el aumento de su precio. Pero, gracias al préstamo que se le dio, actualmente puede mantener su negocio durante esta difícil temporada del año.

Ella se encuentra muy agradecida con el apoyo brindado por los prestamistas de Kiva, ya que de no ser por el préstamo, su negocio estuviera pasando por serias dificultades. Por lo pronto sigue trabajando con normalidad mientras espera a que esta temporada termine y que todo regrese a su ritmo habitual.
