Mujeres Con Dedicacion Group

The communal loan group “Mujeres con Dedicacion” (Women with Dedication) consists of 13 members. These women just began working with Kiva partner Manuela Ramos, and this will be their very first loan. They are requesting a total of 4400 soles. The women of “Mujeres con Dedicacion” dedicate themselves to a variety of business ventures including making and selling shoes, sewing, and selling cooked food, juices, or basic grocery items. Each plans to invest her loan in her business.

Señora Nelia Tello Ramirez is the official president of “Mujeres con Dedicacion.” She is 52 years old and is married with one child. She has a business making and selling beaded sandals and also earns income by recycling bottles. Her husband works at a saw mill. Nelia plans to invest her loan in purchasing materials such as elastic, beads, soles and other items necessary for constructing her handmade sandals.

The women of “Mujeres con Dedicacion” are pleased to have working capital to help grow their businesses, enabling them to contribute financially to their households.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
