Neang Kanhha

Neang Kanhha, age 30, is married and has two young children. She lives with her husband in Takeo Province. She is engaged in a business of weaving, typically earning an income of US $3 per day. Her husband also plays a major role in the family to generate better source of income for his family. To make a living, he is engaged in a business as a taxi driver providing his services to people from his province to the city, earning US $3 per day.

The financial crisis has been difficult for business in Cambodia this past year. This factor has played into a difficult economic year for much of the country, Kanhha included. The country's economic struggles always seem to affect the poor the most. In light of the country's economic difficulties, Kanhha is seeking to increase her income and improve her business. She is asking for a loan of US $500 for her husband to purchase car tires to replace his old car tires. By doing so, his car will be efficiently comfortable for his passengers and safe for his driving.
