Nourn Larg

Nourn Larg is 54 years old, married and has four children. She lives with her husband in Takeo Province. To make a living, she and her husband raise pigs, and usually earn about $1.80 a day. Larg also sells traditional Cambodian cakes when she is free from other work. The family also gets help from two of their children, who work in construction and sales.

The financial crisis has made things difficult for businesses in Cambodia over the last year, especially for poor people like Larg. In light of the country's economic difficulties, Larg is seeking to increase her income and improve her business. She is asking for a loan of $800 to buy a motorbike, which will open up a great opportunity for her husband, who could use it to work as motor-taxi driver and generate more income for the family.
