Doljinjav Tovuu

Doljinjav is a 41-year-old businesswoman who lives with her family in Arkhangai province in central Mongolia. Her three oldest children are university students and the youngest is a secondary school student. Doljinjav operates a mobile retail trading business in her town. With the help of her husband, who is a driver, she uses the family car to travel throughout the countryside selling goods to local farmers. In addition to her mobile business, Doljinjav also purchases dairy products from the farmers to sell at the local market or sometimes in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital city. Doljinjav started her business in 2000 and has achieved success. Since she started, her business capital has increased to more than five times its starting amount. She uses the business' profits to pay her children's university tuition, which is very expensive for the average rural family in Mongolia. Doljinjav is a very hard-working and open-minded person and says, "My dream is to one day have my own grocery store." She is requesting a 1,000,000 tugrug (approx. $690 USD) loan to purchase more goods for her mobile trading business.
