Batchuluun operates a boot-selling business out of a stall at Narantuul, Ulaanbaatar's largest outdoor market. He has much experience as a skin and leather worker and his entire family knows how to sew boots. Working together, they are capable of producing five pairs per day. Batchuluun started his business in 1996 and has been very successful. His busy season is in the winter months as people buy warm shoes for the cold weather. He is able to produce and sells on average 100 to 110 pairs of boots per month.
Batchuluun is a very hardworking person and says, "I would like to improve and expand my family business so that I can buy a new ger (Mongolian nomadic tent) for my eldest son and his wife to live. I also want to improve the quality of life for my family". He is requesting a loan of 600,000 MNT to purchase raw materials such as leather and sole-rubber.
