Tamansane Group

This is Samuel I. Koroma, Augusta Kanu and Nanah Koroma, who named their group Tamansane. This is not the first loan these entrepreneurs are accessing from SMT/Kiva. With the help of previous loans, they were able to expand their businesses. However, having repaid their last loan successfully, they are again requesting a new loan of Le 900,000 each to help them further improve their businesses.

Samuel I. Koroma (middle) is the leader of this group. Samuel is a photographer. With this loan, he will buy two cartons of film and sell to colleagues at the studio. A carton of film cost Le 400,000 in Freetown.

Samuel was born in Makeni city, thirty-four years ago. He is married to a businesswoman and they have five children. Samuel’s children are still young and are attending primary schools.
