The ten members of the Djiguiya 1 group are married men with an average age of 35 and on average, 4 children. They mostly live in traditional extended families in Wayere, one of the villages of the rural township of Farakala, prefecture of Sikasso, 3rd administrative region of Mali.

They work together with the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso so that they can successfully grow their maize crops. They are working with the institution for the first time.

With this loan, they intend to buy fertilizer and herbicides to maintain 10 hectares. Their crops are sold in the village, in the markets of Farakala and Sikasso, after the harvest, to a clientele composed of men and women, often coming from Bamako or from Senegal. They expect to make an average profit of 55,000 F CFA per growing season. The agriculturalists of the Djiguiya 1 group would like to have unlimited amounts.
