Marciana Curo De Martínez is a 60-year-old married mother with 4 children. She lives in Márquez , Callao. Ms. Curo is a member of the ALCOM LAS ESTRELLITAS DE MARQUEZ Group, which consists of 12 members.

She learned about the group after she was invited to join. She is currently the president, and has held this post for a year-and-a-half.

She states that she started out selling beauty products. She used to sell the products that she had in stock. She first set up a mini bazaar where she sold her products, concurrently selling gifts and candy to get by. She worked so hard that she would sometimes stay until midnight. For a while, she was also a street vendor at a market, selling her beauty products. She did this in order to improve her household income and collaborate with her husband in obtaining a plot of land on which they can start building their house. After much hard work, they managed to obtain the car that her husband uses for work. The company for which he used to work went under and he was left unemployed.

Ms. Curo feels very proud of her achievements because she has been able to improve her and her family’s quality of life. This business has allowed her to provide her 4 children with a better education. She is currently helping her daughter who is attending college. She will invest part of this EDAPROSPO loan in her business, and the other part in building her house so that she can rent out rooms, thus assuring her family’s future.

Marciana Curo De Martínez tiene 60 años es casada con 4 hijos, vive en Márquez Callao.
La señora Marciana integra el grupo ALCOM LAS ESTRELLITAS DE MARQUEZ, conformado por 12 socias.
Conoció al grupo mediante una invitación donde la animaron a formar parte actualmente es la presidenta y lleva en ese cargo año y medio.
Ella nos cuenta que empezó vendiendo productos de belleza, ofrecía los productos que tenia en stock se inicio con un mini bazar donde exhibía sus productos ala vez que se ayudaba con la venta de regalos y gaseosas. su labor era tan sacrificada que muchas veces se quedaba hasta las 12 de la noche, por un tiempo fue ambulante en un mercado llevando sus productos de belleza, esto lo hacia con el fin de mejorar la economía de su hogar y colaborar con su esposo en la adquisición de un terreno para su vivienda y la construcción de este mismo, con el esfuerzo de ambos lograron adquirir un auto con el cual trabaja su esposo ya que la empresa para la cual laboraba quebró y quedo sin trabajo.
La señora marciana se siente orgullosa de los logros obtenidos ya que mejoro su calidad de vida y la de su familia, Este negocio le ha permitido brindarle una mejor educación a sus 4 hijos actualmente apoya a su hija q estudia una carrera.
Con el préstamo que EDAPROSPO le otorgara invertirá una parte en su negocio y otra parte para avanzar en la construcción de su casa para poder alquilar cuartos y de esta manera asegurar su futuro y el de su familia.
