Charles Murithi is 39 years old and married with two children. He lives in Muguga, Kikuyu, and he has been selling animal feed for the last five years. His business is in a center called Thamanda which is near where he stays.
Charles was introduced to KADET by a friend who was already a member of one of the groups. Apart from KADET, where he has borrowed two loans, he has never borrowed money from another institution before. This will be his third loan and, so far, he has a good repayment history.
Charles hopes to grow his business to a wholesale shop so that he can be distributing to small traders. He also wants to diversify his trade and start selling hay, since this is a farming region and he knows that he can get high returns and maximize on his profits by tapping into this new venture.
