Update in November, 2009 Entrepreneur: Ly Kong Location: Ta Khmao District, Cambodia The loan in the amount of 300USD was paid off ahead of repayment schedule. Mr. Ly Kong has been driving Tuk Tuk in Phnom Penh City for 4 years, while his wife has been selling Phak Lov (meal that cooked with port) in front of garment factory for 3 years. In August 2009, Ly applied for the loan to help capital his wife to expand her business for buying chicken and pork to make Phak Lov to sell. With the loan, Ly’s wife can increase the amount of Phak Lov she sells per day and is able to increase her income as well. The couple can better improve their standard of living and their businesses are doing well. The income from the business is used to pay for household expenditures such as food, clothes, battery charging and send their children to school.
