Ninfa is 37 years old and has 3 children: Jean Pierre (17), Coni (13), and Grecia (3). They live in their own home. Ninfa has been selling vegetables for 8 years. She travels to various farms to acquire corn, celery, leeks, and other vegetables and sells them in the Huamantanga market, the best known market in the area. She buys in large quantities so that she can sell her products wholesale.

Ninfa begins selling vegetables at 5am, the time when most merchants receive their inventory. Her sales end around 10am, which gives her time to return home and prepare lunch for her children. In the afternoons, she collects her next supply of vegetables so that she can repeat the same routine the following day. She is happy with her business because she can see how it slowly progressed over time and how her family’s quality of life improved.

Ninfa is receiving her first individual loan from MFP. When she worked with a group, she was always responsible in making her payments. She will use the money to purchase vegetables in greater quantities in order to grow her business.
