Rehema Dunia

Mambo from Tanzania! This is 39-year-old Rehema M. Dunia from Kibaha. She is married and has 4 children between the ages of 4 and 18. She is also responsible for supporting one dependent because she is an orphan. Since 1996, Rehema has been running a "duka" or neighborhood shop where she sells common household and grocery items.

She works in her business for 12 hours per day, 6 days per week and is assisted by her husband. Rehema currently earns about $200 USD from her business. She is requesting a loan of TZS 300,000 to purchase additional items in bulk for her shop. In the future, she plans to increase the quantity and range of stock. Rehema thanks you for your support!

SELFINA has taken a lead role as a pioneer of micro-credit in Tanzania through Micro-Leasing.
