The group “Siempre Amigas” [“Always Friends”] is represented by Maria Jesus and composed of 14 members that have proven to be very dynamic given that they wish to carry out activities to become closer and more united with the group. The women have been friends for a very long time given that they know each other from their businesses and live in the same neighborhood. The majority of the group members run different business and provide different services, such as, beauty shops, grocery stores, food sales, cosmetics sales by catalog, while one of the male group members works as an auto mechanic and the other provides cleaning services. Generally the group members run their businesses out of their homes, and the rest work as mobile vendors without a fixed locale. As far as the competitive market is concerned, the group members have loyal clients thanks to their good work or because they provide quality products. The loan will be used to acquire merchandise to stock their stores, to purchase supplies and materials to expand their businesses, and to acquire tools that will help them carry out work of higher quality in less time. Their expectations are to gain better incomes so that they can offer their families a better quality of life while being in a stable economic situation. Even though they are in their first loan cycle, the group members count on experience in solidarity groups thanks to loans that they have received from other financial institutions similar to the Agrocapital Foundation.
