Chérubins Plus Group

Chérubins Plus is a group composed of 33 members, and its president is Mr. Modeste Mulembwe. This group has already received Kiva loans that it repaid correctly. Modeste has a commercial business making artisanal soaps, which he sells. He has a telephone booth as well. His businesses are located in the most populated outlying district of Kinshasa and north of the city.

To realize his ambition of opening a factory for making soaps to provide to retailers, Modeste works hard while reinvesting his accumulated profits. Also, he is counting on Kiva loans through the micro-finance institution Hope RDC. He has already received three of them, which he totally repaid. The next loan will be used to buy goods for making soaps to sell, with the aim of growing his profits. Currently, his businesses generate a profit of $45 a week for him.

Modeste is 54 years old, married, and the father of six children, ages 12 to 30. All of them go to school.

Chérubins Plus est un groupe composé de 33 membres dont Modeste Mulembwe est président. Ce groupe a déjà reçu les prêts de Kiva qu’il a remboursé correctement.
Modeste a comme activités commerciales, la fabrication artisanale des savons qu’il vend ainsi qu’une cabine téléphonique. Ses affaires se localisent dans le quartier périphérique le plus peuplé de Kinshasa, situé au nord de la ville. Pour réaliser son ambition d’ouvrir une usine de fabrication des savons à fournir aux détaillants, Modeste travaille durement en réinvestissant ses bénéfices accumulés. Il compte aussi sur les prêts de Kiva à travers Hope. Il en a déjà reçu trois qu’il remboursé totalement. Le prochain crédit lui servira d’acheter des produits de fabrication des savons à revendre en vue d’accroitre le bénéfice. Actuellement, ses activités lui génèrent un bénéfice de $45 par semaine. Modeste est âgé de 54 ans, marié et père de 6 enfants âgés entre 12 et 30 ans. Tous vont à l’école.
