Noroy Rahmonova

Rahmonova Noroy has been selling a big variety of foodstuffs in her grocery store for the past twenty years. She is married and has six children.

A true entrepreneur, she studies the market to determine client needs and preferences. Industrious and enterprising, Noroy is focused on expanding her business.

Noroy is currently seeking a loan of 11,000 Somoni. She plans to use the loan to increase her assortment of fresh merchandise and to expand her business. With the increased sales and profits, Noroy hopes to expand her grocery and improve the living standard of her family.

These conditions have resulted in high levels of unemployment and have forced hundreds of thousands to seek work in other countries, mainly Russia. While the people of Tajikistan are working to improve its agricultural production and manufacturing sector, nearly two-thirds of the population still live in abject poverty.
