Suong Samphose

Mrs. Suong Samphose is 25 years old and lives with her two children, her mother (pictured here because Samphose is unavailable), her nephew, and her niece in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Samphose is now a widow, as her husband recently passed away. For income, Samphose rents out rooms from her home to workers from the nearby garment factory. She can make about $2.00 per day from this business activity. Samphose is the mother of 2 children, both of whom are students. She hopes to use this loan in order to build another room in their house so that they can increase their rental income. In the future, Samphose hopes that she will be able to purchase a motorbike for her nephew so that he can work as a mototaxi driver.
