Community Savings “United for Triumph” (“Unidos por el Triunfo”)

The eleven members of this savings group have participated in the financial institution EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD (prosperity) for two years and four months. Most of them make wallets of leather and thread, tablecloths, and purses and then sell these products in markets, fairs, and to their clients. María Luisa is the president of the group. For ten years, she has worked in dressmaking, and she makes garments. Also, she helps her husband in his father’s carpentry business.

She used her first loan form EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD to buy thread, leather and molds for the production of leather wallets. With the income from these sales, María Luisa provides a good life to her two young children, who are attending a government school. She invested her recent loan in materials (thread, jewelry, fabric, and zippers) to begin making purses with beautiful decorations that are currently in fashion. She plans to continue working hard with the goal of saving some capital so that she can continue selling her products in a stand where there is a demand for the goods.

Los once miembros de esta alcancía participan en la entidad financiera EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD desde hace dos años y cuatro meses, la gran mayoría se dedica a la confección de carteras de cuero y de hilo, manteles, monederos hecho por ellas mismas vendiéndolos en los mercados, ferias y a sus clientes.
María Luisa es la presidenta del grupo, desde hace diez años trabaja en costura se dedica a componer prendas, además ayuda a su esposo en la carpintería de su padre. Utilizó el primer capital que le dio EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD en comprar hilos, cuero, moldes para la elaboración de carteras de cuero. Con los ingresos de estas ventas María Luisa les da una vida apacible a sus dos pequeños hijos quienes todavía estudian en una escuela del estado.
Ella invirtió el reciente préstamo en materiales (hilos, bisutería, tela, cierres) para empezar a fabricar monederos, bolsos con lindos adornos que es lo que actualmente está de moda. Piensa seguir trabajando duro a fin de ahorrar un pequeño capital para que pueda más adelante vender sus productos es un puesto donde halla demanda.
