Esperanza Jimenez Lopez

Esperanza is 27 years old. She has five children and her husband is a construction worker. She is an artisan who manufactures typical regional blouses. She makes the blouses and then embroiders their neck and sleeves with colorful flowers (which is typical regional artisan work). She sells these blouses to a store inside the San Cristobal de las Casas artisans market. Esperanza is part of a solidarity group called Montebello1 with Guadalupe Gomez Gomez, who raises pigs and sells them locally.
Esperanza wants to get the loan in order to purchase thread and fabric to continue making blouses. Maria wants the loan to purchase pig food (maize and restaurant´s waste) and plague-preventing medicines.
